Greg Ball is a born outdoors man; he's been hiking and scouting the hills and valleys of the Hudson Valley since he was a boy. Sustainability initiatives and climate change makeup one of the cornerstones of Greg Ball’s political platforms. There is no greater advocate for clean water, ecosystem microclimate protection, and farmland preservation than Greg Ball. Some like to call Greg a "Hook and Bullet" environmentalist because he is both a hunter and a fisherman but also an avid protector of the natural environment.

Greg Ball is a leading grassroots advocate fighting to protect our vital watershed, promote strict clean air initiatives and championing the preservation of natural areas and wildlife. As an elected leader, Greg Ball is evaluating policy solutions for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and smart growth with local and state leaders and working hard to implement them.

Greg Ball also understands the need for smarter wastewater management, composting, and watershed preservation. He also favors smarter clear cutting policies along our utility transmission lines and banning the use of dangerous pesticides. Assemblyman Ball was the only politician in the region to stand up to Con Edison's unilateral clear cutting, which was causing irreparable damage to the local watershed.

Assemblyman Ball is working to ensure that our "special environmental nooks and crannies" will be protected for generations of New Yorkers. The 99th Assembly District is fortunate to have many beautiful lakes, wetlands, hills, brooks and meadows from Pawling to Yorktown and Greg is working with local and county officials to protect our open spaces and keep our farms intact.
